Nell Toney Hernandez, 74, of 801 E. Marion Street, Shelby, passed away
Monday, September 21, 2015 at her home.

She was born in Cleveland County on September 25, 1940 to the late Blaine
Toney and Villa Ivester Toney. She was the owner and operator of Nellie's
Family Care Home since 1989 and she attended Double Shoals Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry
Shepard Poston; daughter, Patricia Ann Poston; two brothers, Jerry Toney
and Charles Toney; and sister, Ann Lackey.

She is survived by a son, Jerry Poston of Shelby; two daughters, Deborah
Poston of Shelby and Penny Grav and husband Ryan; four grandchildren,
Krystal Hawk and husband, Tony, Nektarios Kalogeropoulos, Nikki Nicole
Poston, and Alexis Daniell Williamson; three great grandchildren, Jonathan
Hawk, Quinn Hawk and Charissa Kalogeropoulos; two step grandchildren, Jack
Grav and Jordan Grav; brother, J.B. Toney of Maryland; six sisters, Jean
Jones of Shelby, Margaret Ingram of Morganton, Shirley Allen of Shelby;
Janet Meadows of Gainsville Florida, Gay Miller of Georgia, Nona Barrier of
Shelby; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The graveside will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Memorial Park
with the Dr. Brian Johnson officiating.
