Nellie Beatrice Green Webb
Mrs. Nellie Beatrice Green Webb, 98 of New House Road, Shelby passed away June 13, 2016 at Hospice at Wendover.
Born April 29, 1918 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late James Green and Susan McKee Green. She was owner and operator of Webb's Texaco in the 1970's. Mrs. Webb enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting and crocheting.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James David Webb and three brothers, Worth McKee, Fay Green and Esley Green.
Survivors include four sons, Huey Webb and wife, Freida of Shelby, Ray Webb and wife, Jane of Shelby, Faron Webb of Shelby and James "Butch" Webb and wife, Angela of Shelby; four daughters, JoAnn Webb of Hickory, Amogene Almeda and husband, Charles of Spokane, WA, Rachel Oaks of Shelby and Darlene Pruitt and husband, Steve of Shelby; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 7:00PM until 8:30PM Wednesday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Sandy Plains Baptist Church with Rev. David Webb officiating. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Rehobeth United Methodist Church Cemetery.
