Nicholas "Pickle" Whitworth, age 35, of Shelby, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Nick was born May 29, 1985 in Cleveland County, he was the son of Patsy Stroup who resides in Shelby and the late William Howard Whitworth. Nick was an avid gamer. He was funny; he had an amazing personality and he used it to make people laugh. Nick loved to play the guitar and sing; especially at the Way of the Cross Baptist Church in Shelby.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Caleb Whitworth.

Along with his mother, those left to cherish his memory include a sister, Natasha Emory (Ronnie) of Grover; brother, Eric Whitworth (Angie) of Shelby; nephew, Eli Whitworth; nieces, Emma Emory and Addy Emory. Nick loved his nieces and nephews like they were his own kids. He had many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in the Mausoleum at Cleveland Memorial Park with Pastor Robert Mote officiating. Inurnment will follow the service there at the Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of the service.
