Patsy Ann Peeler Hastings, 91, of Oak Grove Clover Hill Church Road, Lawndale passed away on April 7, 2025 at White Oak Manor - Shelby.

Patsy was born on October 8, 1933 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Howard Alonzo and Beulah Gold Wilson Peeler. She was retired with 27 years of service from Cleveland County Schools as a bookkeeper at Casar Elementary, Burns High School and Fallston Elementary. Patsy was a member of Casar Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher, choir member and was the church financial secretary for over 30 years. Along with her husband, she also served as a dedicated care giver to a special needs daughter for over 59 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gayla Ann Hastings and two sisters, Shirley Gamble and Dorothy Wehunt.

Patsy is survived by her husband of 72 years, Austin "Bill" Billy Hastings; son, Gary Hastings and wife, Lori of Grover; daughter, Tami Rayle and husband, Dwayne of Shelby; two grandsons, Garrett Hastings and wife, Taylor and Brandon Rayle and wife, Lexi and two granddaughters, Laura Hastings Allen, husband Derek and Breanna Gilbert and husband, Ryan; three great grandsons, Austin Allen, Chase Allen, Lawson Hastings and one on the way, Brooks Lee and one great granddaughter, Blakely Rayle.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Casar Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 3:00pm at Casar Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Pruett and Rev. Randy Willis officiating.

Burial will follow in the Casar Baptist Church Cemetery.
