Patsy Costner Norman was born on March 6, 1937 and entered the gates of
Heaven on Sunday, January 07, 2018.

She was a daughter of Wilbur and Lois Martin Costner and one of six
children. Pat was married to her high school sweetheart, Jimmy Wesson Norman
for 63 loving years. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother,
great-grandmother and friend who spent her career in the Cleveland County
School System helping students in many ways. A woman of faith and the heart
of the Norman family, Pat shaped their spirituality by her tireless
Christian example. She was an active member of Lawndale Missionary
Methodist Church and regularly volunteered at the Upper Cleveland Area
Needs. Pat also enjoyed visiting shut-ins throughout the Lawndale
community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Lois Martin Costner and
her two sisters, Linda Shytle and Fran Closner.

She is survived by her sisters, Carolyn Costner Lewkowicz of Beech Island,
SC and Nancy (Burt) Costner Earnhardt of Indian Trail, NC and a brother, Joe
Costner of Lake Wylie, SC who proudly called her their sister. Also
surviving are her children, Alan Norman and wife Pam of Lawndale, NC and
Angela Norman Bumgardner and husband Ronald of Lawndale, NC. She will be
fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Justin Bumgardner (Amber), Kristen
Kirkland (Matt), Breanne Norman (Caleb), and Alex Norman. Pat was also a
great-grandmother to Shyenne and Cameron Bumgardner. Last but not least is
her sweet dogchild, Rafiki. Pat will be remembered by everyone she touched
as a tremendously loving, accepting, truly compassionate and caring person.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 9, from 6:00 PM to 8:00
PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, at 11:00 AM in
the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harry Queen and Fred
Towery officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Cleveland County, 951
Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
