Patsy Rae Bentley Pendley, 89, of Lenoir passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Lenoir Health Care.

She was born in Watauga County, on September 21, 1936, and was a daughter of the late Carl David Bentley and Ruia Lillian Lorance Bentley. She was retired from TRW Manufacturing of Boone. She was a longtime member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a former member of Willow Valley Baptist Church in Boone, NC.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Billy Dean Pendley; son, Mike Pendley; daughter, Ann Norwood; brother, Bill Bentley; and sister Betty Taylor.

Patsy is survived by a son, Richard Pendley and his wife Diane of Lenoir; three sisters, Barbara Winebarger of Lenoir; Phyllis Moretz of Boone and Nancy Greer of Vilas; two brothers, Jerry Bentley of Lenoir and Eddie Bentley of Mountain City; six cherished grandchildren; seven adored great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
