Patsy Toney Gaskey, 95, of Lawndale, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

Patsy was born on November 24, 1930, in Cleveland County, and was a daughter of the late Warren Earl and Jenny Mozelle Hoyle Toney. She retired from O.E. Ford Company as a bookkeeper and was a member of Hoyle Memorial United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Gaskey, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Wandra S. Gaskey and a sister, Wilma Ray.

Survivors include her son, Jack E. Gaskey, Jr. of Gastonia; daughter, Patricia Gaskey Hawkins and husband Randy of Prince George, VA; a sister, Julia Baxter of Shelby; two grandchildren, Suzanne Spearman and Adam Hawkins; three step grandchildren, Carrie Foust, Kelly Morse III and Laura Peters; seven great grandchildren, Logan Spearman, Copeland Spearman, Rebekah Brinkley; James K. Morse IV, Braelyn Hawkins, Sydney Hawkins, Caroline Foust and James Foust; a great great grandson Liam Elder; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home of Julia Baxter, 1707 Fallston Road, Shelby, NC 28150

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Sunset Cemetery.
