 Mr. Paul Allen, 95, resident of 503 S. Battleground Ave., Grover, NC, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010. Services were held at First Baptist Church, Grover, NC. Burial followed in Grover  Cemetery, Grover, NC. 

Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie White Allen; his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Carrie Bell Allen; 4 brothers, Elbert “Ebb” Allen, Darvin Allen, Frank Allen, and Hoyle Allen; and 1 sister, Grathel Allen Lail.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Jean Allen Jones and husband Lyman of Shelby, NC and Marjorie Allen White of Grover, NC; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: First Baptist Church, 403 Cleveland Ave., Grover, NC 28073; or to: Crestview Baptist Church, “Building Fund”, 1090 Old Boiling Springs Rd., Shelby, NC 28152.
