Peggy Marlene Earnhardt Perrell Lynch of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

She is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Lynch of the home, two sons, Lacy Lynn Perrell of Shelby, NC, and Cliff Perrell and wife Susan of Earl, NC, a daughter, Jenifer Perrell Roberts and husband Kevin of Grover, NC, a stepdaughter, Kathy Patrick of Randleman, NC, two stepsons, Douglas Lynch and wife Sandy of Boiling Springs, NC and Drew Lynch and wife Lynn of Bessemer City, NC, five grandchildren, Ashley Perrell Hollifield of Shelby, NC, Chad Perrell and wife Erica of Boiling Springs, NC, Aaron Roberts, Alex Roberts, and Kole Roberts of Grover, NC, four great grandchildren, Justus Hollifield and Logan Hollifield of Shelby, NC, Raymond Autry and Madison Autry of Boiling Springs, NC, a brother, Jerry Murphy and wife Peggy of Rockingham, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born April 18, 1937 in Charlotte, NC, Marlene was the daughter of the late James Everette Earnhardt Sr. and Minnie Lee McRorie Murphy Earnhardt and was preceded in death by a her first husband, Lacy Clifton Perrell, a daughter-in-law, Pauline Perrell, a sister, Myrna Lee Earnhardt Meacham Odem, and two brothers, James Everett Earnhardt Jr. and Barry Vann Earnhardt.

Marlene was a faithful member of Morning Star Baptist Church where she sung in the choir and served in the Hospitality Committee. She enjoyed traveling, working in the yard, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Marlene also loved her faithful canine Pansy.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Morning Star Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Keith Linzy and Pastor Jenifer Roberts. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
