Mr. Prentiss Legarr "Buddy" George, Jr. 84, of Burlington, NC, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Village of Brookwood in Burlington, NC.

Buddy was born to Prentiss Legarr George, Sr. and Novella Jane Kendrick George on October 26, 1933, the 2nd of 2 children. He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Julia and wife, Marilynn Crowell George.

Those left to rejoice in his life include daughter Novella Jane George Landreth (husband, John) of Chapel Hill, NC and son Chip George of SC; three grandchildren including Anna George Johnsen (husband, Ben) of Durham, NC, Christopher George (wife, Christina) of Staffordsville, VA and Thomas George Landreth of Washington, DC and eight great-grandchildren: Asher, Madeline, Isabel, Lucy and Katherine Johnsen of Durham, NC and Alexa, Nathan and Julian George of Staffordsville, VA.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Gathering Place at the Village of Brookwood at 1880 Brookwood Avenue in Burlington, NC and will be officiated by Reverend Susan Steinberg of the United Church of Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC.
