Raiford Franklin Simpson, 76, of 6256 Wards Gap Road, Casar, died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at his residence.

Born September 28, 1936 in Mitchell County, Georgia he was a son of the late Benjamin Franklin Simpson and Emma Lee Simpson.  Mr. Simpson was retired from Breedens Poultry and Egg in Morganton and was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin Simpson and one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Rosalee Pruett Simpson; three sons, Donnie Simpson of Casar, Lloyd Simpson and wife, Carrie of Casar and Raiford Simpson, Jr. of Lincolnton; two daughters, Tammy Canipe and husband, Jerry of Lawndale and Martha Jane Demott and husband, Tommy of Moultrey, GA; seven grandchildren and two sisters, Louise Miller of Sylvester, GA, and Benita
Simpson of Albany, GA.

Visitation: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Saturday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Sunday at Pisgah Baptist Church, Casar.  The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.

Burial: Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, Casar
