Ralph Boyd Hughes, Jr., 73, of Tower Road, Vale passed away on January 19, 2026 at Atrium Health - Lincoln.


Ralph was born on March 30, 1952 in Lincoln County, NC to the late Ralph Boyd Hughes, Sr. and Lorene Mary Elmore Hughes. He was retired from Hayworth Manufacturing.


Survivors include his wife of forty-three years Patricia E. Hughes; three sons, Thomas Hughes of Vale, Robert Hughes of Vale, and Mark Isaac of Vale; daughter, Susan Cline of Vale and six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.


The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.


A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at New Day Ministries with the Rev. Tim Chambers officiating.


Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery.
