Ralph Donald Gettys, 85 of Casar Road, Lawndale passed away, Friday,
February 23, 2018 at his residence.

Born June 1, 1932 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Cleland
Kuester Gettys and Pearl Wesson Gettys. He was the barber at Lattimore
Barber Shop for 52 years. Don was a charter member of Canaan Baptist Church
where he served as a past deacon for many years. He served in the US Navy
during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a sister, Ruth
Franklin.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Stella Luckadoo Gettys; son, Darrell
Gettys & wife, Crystal of Goldsboro, NC; daughter, Donna Deskin and husband,
Tommy of Shelby; two brothers, Charles Gettys and wife, Judy and Roger
Gettys and wife, Teresa both of Polkville; two grandchildren, Kristen Gettys
and Donnie Deskin and one step-grandchild, Blair Lambert.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday at Canaan Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Sunday at Canaan Baptist Church with Rev.
Patrick Mourglea officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
