Randall Lane Miller, 66, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Atrium Health Cleveland, surrounded by loved ones. He was born to Earnest and Jean Miller in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and lived in several states before ultimately settling in the Shelby, North Carolina area.

Randy was a 30-year employee of H & H Pest Control in Shelby, NC, where he held the role of Office Manager, and was beloved by his work family and customers.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Earnest L. Miller; paternal grandparents, Cecil Ray and Oda Mae Bankston Miller and Pearl Miller; maternal grandparents, Margie Cottrell Boykin, Herbert Cottrell, Jesse Rankin Randall and Doris Callis Randall.

He is survived by his mother, Gloria Jean Randall Miller, of Cherryville, NC; brother,Terry Ray Miller (Shelley) of Reidsville, NC; sister, Ashlee Dawn Miller Johnson of Clover, SC; nephews, Trenton Thompson, Noah and Isaac Miller; nieces, Samantha and Maci Johnson, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was an avid gamer and videophile. He was equipped with a razor-sharp memory and wit to use the perfect movie line at just the right time to invoke roaring laughter or inflict a serious sting, depending on his intention. A brilliant writer, artist, musician, photographer and creator of many kinds, his talents seemed endless to those fortunate to share in the beauty of those giftings. He was a gentle, kind, and loving man, and he will be missed more than words can say.

A memorial service is scheduled at the chapel at Cecil M Burton Funeral on February 3, 2026 at 6:30pm beginning at 6:00 PM.
