Randolph Logan Carter, 87, was born on February 21, 1938, to the Mamie and James Carter in Cleveland County, NC. He departed this life on November 16, 2025.

In addition to his parents, Randolph is preceded in death by sisters, Loretta Amos, Leslie Perkins, Barbara Barron, and Ada Powell; brothers, Charles Carter, Jerry D. Carter, John Floyd, and James "Buck" Carter; and grandsons, Joshua and Kenneth Carter.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Clara Hector Carter of Lawndale, NC; son, Kenneth Carter of Lawndale, NC; sisters, Dovie Carter of Washington, DC and Elizabeth C. Mitchell (Willie A.) of Mooresboro, NC; brother, Steven Carter (Valerie) of Woodbridge, VA; special nieces - Terry Fullenwider, of Lawndale, NC, Robbin Haynes(Wilbert) and Amy Mitchell-Parker (Que'valas) both of Shelby, NC; special great nephew, Trey Haynes (Melissa) of Campton, NH; special friend, Dr. BJ Zamora, of Shelby, NC; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Lawndale First Baptist Church, Lawndale, NC.
