Randy Joe Bowman, 69, walked into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Atrium Health Cleveland Hospital in Shelby, NC, with his beloved wife by his side. He was born on October 17, 1955, in Cleveland County, the son of the late Mabry Bowman and Margie Gettys Bowman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Shane Bowman, and his brother, Terry Bowman.

Randy retired from David Bridges Painting after many years of dedicated service, yet he never stopped working hard to provide for his family.

A lifelong hard worker and devoted family man, Randy lived with a steadfast love for both his Lord, his family and especially his grandchildren. He found peace and joy in the outdoors, whether cultivating flowers, deer hunting, or carp fishing, he cherished every moment spent in God's creation.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sherree Greene Bowman; his grandchildren, Brianna Bowman and Lane Bowman; and his great-granddaughter, Ariya Shane Phifer. He is also survived by his brothers, Scott Bowman (Sheila) and Mark Bowman, along with his stepmother, Betty Jean Bowman.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at New Bethel Church in Shelby, with Rev. Mark Patchett officiating. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
