Raymond Addie Walker

Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby. Born in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Addie Edward Walker and Annie Maude Newton Walker. Mr. Walker is a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church and retired from Southern Furniture in Catawba. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Edith Meade Walker; son, Mike Walker of Lawndale; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Rick Shuford of Shelby, Pam and Derek Boling of Shelby and Tracy and Ronald Beaver of Boiling Springs; brothers, Forest Walker, Ray Walker and Lawrence Walker all of Casar; two sisters and brother-in-law, Colleen Parker and Nadine and Charlie Goodman all of Casar; grandchildren, Jeff Heavner, Michael Walker II, Eric Shuford, Megan Walker, Cortney Shuford, Abby Boling, Ashley Boling and Addie Beaver; and great grandson, Hayden Heavner. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston. A guest register is available at www.stameyfuneralhome.com. The funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday at Olive Grove Baptist Church with Revs. Terrill Crump and Jimmy Black officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
