Raymond Flay Champion
Tuesday, November 19, 2013 3:41 pm Mr. Raymond Flay Champion, 94, a native of Cleveland County, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at Hospice at Wendover. He was a member of Zoar Baptist Church, and retired from Doran Mill as a weaver. Mr. Champion had also served in the U. S. Army during WW II, of which he was very proud of his time served in the military.
Mr. Champion loved his family first, but also loved fishing, golfing, playing cards and watching the Atlanta Braves.

Survived by: Wife of 68 yrs. Eva Hamrick Champion Home Son & Daugh. –in-law: David Champion & Lisa Kings Mountain, NC Son: Don Champion Shelby Son: Blane Champion Shelby Daughter & son-in-law: Rheba Lancaster & Bill Gaffney, SC Sister: Vernie Houser Charlotte, NC Sister: Brenda Marlow Gastonia, NC Sister: Diane Earwood Lawndale, NC Grandchildren: 7 Great Grandchildren: 16 Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews
