A native of Cleveland County, Richard was the son of the late Fet Yount and Marie Garver Yount. He was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. Richard was formerly employed for thirty years at Dicey Mills as a human resources manager. He enjoyed Nascar, cars, working in the yard and listening to Jazz music. He is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Denise Queen Yount of the home; one daughter, Savanna Yount of the home; and an honorary daughter, Erica Morrow of Mooresboro.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Family Life Center of Double Springs Baptist Church, Sunday, September 9th at 2:00 PM.
