Ricky Grigg, Sr., 64, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Hospice Wendover in Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County on October 26, 1959, he was the son of Betty Glover Hamrick and the late Clyde Monroe Grigg.

Ricky is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Grigg and his beloved fur-baby, Amos Moses. Also left to cherish his memory are his children; Jonie Lingerfelt and Ricky Grigg, Jr. and his wife Trish; grandchildren; Burt Lingerfelt (Katie), Brandy Leatherman (Hunter), Gavin Lingerfelt, Samantha McDonald (Grigg), Cassi and Jacob Bostian (Grigg), and Tyler McDonald (Grigg), as well as, great grandchildren Lilly and Sam Lingerfelt, Maverick Bostian, and Riley Laveck. He is also survived by his sisters Sue Doby (Wayne), Ellen Williams (Robert), special sister-in-law Sandy Adcock, brothers Kenneth Atkins (Amy), Brian Greason (Kemisha) and mother-in-law Shirley Adcock.

Ricky was a man who wasn't afraid of hard work, a man of great courage, strength, honor, and love. A loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grand and great grandfather. He truly made a lasting impact on many people's lives, friends and strangers alike. He was always willing to help anyone in need and spread the word of Jesus.

A celebration of life service will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday, July 9, 2024 in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home with Pastor Neil Efird officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
