Robert Gene Crowder

Born in Cleveland County on January 16, 1926, he was the son of the late Robert Perry Crowder and Margaret Cora Shuford Crowder. He was the owner and operator of Crowder Construction. He was a member of Polkville United Methodist Church, Camp Call Masonic Lodge and a US Navy Veteran after serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Davis Crowder and a sister, Ruth Wilson. Survivors include two daughters & sons-in-law, Katrina & Tommy Hunter of Greensboro and Aimee & Dale Jackson of Polkville, four grandchildren, Spring Pipes, Jess Hunter, Emily Jackson Hinkle, and Seth Jackson; one great grandchild, Avery Pipes; a brother, Loy Crowder and two sisters, Carole Lattimore and Linda Spangler. Visitation: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Tuesday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday at Polkville United Methodist Church. The body will be placed in the church thiry minutes before the service. Officiating: Rev.
