Robert Lee Holtsclaw, Sr
Robert Lee Holtsclaw, Sr., 73, of 9154 Hwy 10, Vale, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at his residence.
Born October 13, 1941 in Ashe County, he was a son of the late Roger Rufus Holtsclaw and Lille Octavia Bowlin Holtsclaw. He was owner of Country Store Antiques and Custom Refinishing and was a member of Laurel Hill United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Holtsclaw.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Linda Oxentine Holtsclaw; four sons, Rev. Robert "Bobby" Lee Holtsclaw, Jr. and wife, Kim of Cherryville; Jeffrey Holtsclaw of Dawsonville, GA; Billy Holtsclaw and wife, Jennifer of Catawba and Adam Holtsclaw of the home; daughter, Joyce Setzer and husband, Jerry of Hickory; four grandchildren, Quinton Holtsclaw, Sarah Holtsclaw, Dalton Setzer and Eli Holtsclaw; three brothers, James Holtsclaw of Lincolnton; Jerry Holtsclaw and Roger Holtsclaw both of Hudson and a sister, Pauline Teague of Mt. View.
Visitation: 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church
A funeral service will be 5:00 PM, Sunday at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Cathy Turman, Rev. Bobby Holtsclaw and Rev. Dwayne Rector officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
