 Robert M. Jackson, age 71, of Forest City, NC died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

     Robert was born July 17, 1941 in Rensselaer County, New York to the late Michael Jackson and Dorothy Sieth Jackson.  He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War.  He worked for Allied Bendix/Honeywell Corporation for thirty years before his retirement.  He was a member of the Veterans of Lansingburgh and attended the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church.   He enjoyed fishing.

     Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Betsy Jackson; two daughters, Audra O’Connell and husband, Sean of Forest City and Dana Jackson of Albany, NY; one son, Todd Jackson and wife, Jennifer of Troy, NY; four sisters, Genevieve Godlewski of Georgia, Dorothy Hayes of Florida, Ruth Ann Cooper of Waterford, NY

 and Eleanor Womback of Florida; two brothers, Michael Jackson and Edward Jackson both of Troy. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Zeph Jackson, Ty Jackson, Sean O’Connell, Mayghan O’Connell, Braden O’Connell and several nieces and nephews.

     Services are pending and will be announced at a later date by Harrelson Funeral Home.
