Robert Morgan Parker
Belwood - Robert Morgan Parker, 92, passed away at Frye Regional Medical Center, Sunday, May 14, 2017.
He was born in Cleveland County, on June 4, 1924, to the late Charlie Dennis Parker and Lillie Mae Whisnant Parker. Morgan retired from Stamey Store, Inc, was a member of David's Chapel United Methodist Church, and served in the US Army during World War II in the European Theater.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Doris Julia Martin Parker; son, David Parker; brother, Clayton Parker; and sister, Hettie King and husband Ray.
He is survived by his son, Charles "Chuck" Parker and wife Marsha of Hickory; daughter-in-law, Kathy Parker of Belwood, two grandsons, Kevin Parker and wife, Summer of Gaffney and Mark Parker of Polkville; two great-grandchildren, Anderson and Ashlyn Parker.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday at David's Chapel United Methodist Church.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at David's Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Cathy Turman officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
