Rodney R. Wagenknecht, 70 of 254 Wendy Dr. passed away on October 5th, 2025 at the Upstate Community Hospice House.

Born in Sterling, Illinois, he was the son of the late Frank and Doris Matuska and the late Bill Wagenknecht.

Surviving Mr. Wagenknecht is his son, Joseph Wagenknecht, his daughter, Megan Storm Wagenknecht (Tyler), a brother, Frank Matuska Jr., four sisters: Teena Peeler, Helen Powell (David), Evelyn Matuska and Kelley Nash (Todd); one grandchild, Xain Dycus, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Carla Beaver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Danny Wagenknecht, Randy Wagenknecht and Michael Matuska. A nephew, Randy Michael Wagenknecht and a great niece, Amber Wagenknecht.

He was a member of the Gargoyles Motorcycle Club in Grover, NC.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
