Ronald Dee Gorney, 79, of Lawndale, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at his home.

Ron was born on December 4, 1946, in Michigan and was a son of the late Paul and Violet Pauline Gorney. He was a retired Plumber. He considered the Shelby Church of Christ his home church. You could often find Ron out fiddling in his yard or on one of his projects or telling a story. Ron was very quick witted and always cracking jokes. He loved spending time with his family and watching movies with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Susan Nagel Gorney and his son, John Anderson.

Ron is survived by two daughters Nicole Hazen and husband Andrew of Lawndale and Cindy Borges and husband David of Denver; five grandchildren, Cole Hazen, Asher Hazen, Maddie Borges, Sarah Borges and David Borges; and a brother and several sisters.

A private service will be held at a later date.
