Mr. Ronnie Lee Appleman, 52, of 2040 McBrayer Springs Rd., Shelby, NC passed away Friday, April 15, 2011. Services were held at New Prospect Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Appleman was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Carpenter and Mary Calloway Yarboro; 1 brother, Junior Appleman; 1 sister, Ruth Putnam; and special friends, Irvin Russ and Josh Carrigan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Christine Canipe Appleman of the home; 2 sons, Jeremiah James Appleman of Lattimore and Allen Michael Appleman of Shelby; 4 sisters, Faye Blackmon and husband Robert, Sue Leftwich, Debbie Lancaster and husband Curtis, all of Shelby, and Barbara Brown and husband Terry of Cherryville; 3 brothers, John Carpenter, Frank Appleman and Ray Carpenter, all of Shelby; 1 sister-in-law, Joy Appleman of Mt. Holly; special friends, James & Barbara Camp of Shelby, and Tim and Ann Barret of Cherryville; and his wonderful nurse, Heather Billingsley.
