Rose Sharon Hicks Grigg, 58 of Mooresboro Road, Shelby passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025 at her residence.

Born on January 5, 1967 in Illinois she was the daughter of Patsy Russell Hicks and the late John Alvin Hicks, Jr. Rose was a cherished daughter, devoted wife, caring mother, and beloved sister. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

She was a devoted partner, a loving mother and sister. Rose's love for her family was a powerful force, guiding and shaping the lives of those she held dear. In addition to her mother, Rose is survived by her husband, Charles D. Grigg; son, Alex Grigg of Shelby; brother, John Hicks, III of Illinois; two sisters, Lois Shuford of Shelby and Rebekah Lail of Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews.

As we mourn the loss of Rose Hicks Grigg, we also celebrate the extraordinary life she led. Her memory will live on in the countless hearts she touched and the many lives she enriched with her loving, kind nature. Rose's spirit, a gentle yet formidable presence, will continue to inspire those who knew her to live with the same grace and compassion she embodied every day.

A memorial service will be 11:00am on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel.

The burial will be private.
