Mrs. Ruby Frances Blanton Parris, age 84 of Blacksburg, SC, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at Mary Black Health System in Gaffney, SC.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Allen of Lawndale, NC, two grandchildren, Michael Allen and wife Amy of Shelby, NC, and Stacy Smith and husband Mark of Shelby, NC, three granddaughters, a brother, Paul Blanton, a sister, Doris Holder, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born March 15, 1934 in Cherokee County, SC, Ruby was the daughter of the late Sol and Mamie Blanton and was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Ruby's passion was the Lord. She enjoyed going to her church. Ruby also enjoyed watching her favorite t.v. shows and spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by those that knew her.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, December 28, 2018 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
