Ruby Wesson Sain

Ruby Wesson Sain, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully at her home on June 19, 2025. Born on February 11, 1931, in Lincoln County, she graced this world with her warm presence for 94 years.

A dedicated professional, Ruby was a retired nursing assistant who served with heart and unwavering commitment at Cleveland Memorial Hospital. Her caring nature extended beyond the hospital walls--she was a cherished member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, where her love of Jesus and faith and devotion were an inspiration to all.

Ruby's spirit is carried forward by her loving family. She is survived by her son, Arnold Sain and his wife, MariLynn, of Vale; her daughters, Glenda Wise and husband Howard, Debbie Alvarado and husband Victor, Vickie Sain, Rita Sain, and Nelta Sain, all of Vale. She was the proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and the great-grandmother to nineteen great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with endless love and wisdom.

Her departure was preceded by the loss of her parents, Wallace Franklin Wesson and Ethel Maude Bailey Wesson, and her brother, Blair Wesson and wife Nancy, whose memories remain a cherished part of her legacy.

Ruby's legacy is characterized by her loving and kind soul--qualities that she embodied throughout her life. Her radiant smile and gentle touch were a comforting presence to all who knew her. Friends and family will remember Ruby as the heart of their gatherings, the listener in times of need, and the advocate in moments of challenge.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeremy Mahaffey officiating.

The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 1156 Northbrook III School Rd, Vale, NC 28168.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
