Mr. Russell Lynn Leonard, 67, of  Shelby, NC,  passed away, Wednesday, May 12, 2010. A Memorial Service was held at Lutz-Austell Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Margaret Jorgenson Leonard.

Mr. Leonard served our country in the U.S. Navy in Guam and Southeast Asia aboard the USS Shelton and  USS Esteem.

He is survived by 1 daughter, Melissa Jolly and husband Keith of Shelby, NC, and Jon Heemeyer and wife Daina of Watertown, S.D.; 1 sister, Madonna Sexton of Campbell, CA.; 1 brother, Lee Leonard and wife Luella of Watertown; and 1 grandchild.

William Lutz Burton of Lutz-Austell Funeral Home is serving the family.
