Samuel Kenneth Sain
Samuel Kenneth Sain, 73, of 143 Acre Rock Road, Lawndale, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.
Born December 22, 1941 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late William Howard Taft Sain and Pearl Carpenter Sain. He was retired from Bernhardt and was a member of Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Leigh and son-in-law, Charles Ray Thornton.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Faye Wilson Sain; son, Chris Sain and wife, Tara of Hickory; two daughters, Kathy Cook and husband, Russell of Lawndale and Lynn Thornton of Lawndale; brother, George Sain of Hildebran; two sisters, Dorothy Sain of Hickory and Becky Neal of Shelby; six grandchildren, Stacy Seagle and husband, Jody, Wesley Cook and wife, Meghan, Nikki Bradley and husband, Travis, Leslie Thornton and fiancé, Roger Clark, Kamryn Sain and Chloe Sain and five great-grandchildren, Gracie Bradley, Hayden Bradley, Natalie Clark, Ava Seagle and Wells Cook.
Funeral Service: 4:00 PM, Tuesday at Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.
Visitation will follow after the service in Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church Fellowship Building. At other times the family will be at the home of Kathy and Russell Cook, 1156 Carpenters Grove Church Road, Lawndale

Graveside Service will be 9:00 AM, Wednesday at Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
