GASTONIA - Sandra Yvonne "Von" Forrester passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Carmont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

She was born in Gaston County on November 18, 1948, the daughter of Arlon Clyde Forrester and Velma Bost Forrester.

She worked at Wix Filters for 40 years. She was predeceased by her father, Arlon Forrester; mother, Velma Forrester; sisters, Wanda Cox, Pat Loudermilk; niece, Vonda Kay Grier; nephews, Jeff and Richard Cox.

She loved her family, friends, good music, sports and her dogs, they were her children.

Left to Cherish her memories are a brother, Dariel Forrester and wife, Linda of Rock Hill, SC; a sister, Judy Meredith of Gastonia, NC; nieces, Vickie Fields and husband Ronnie of Young Harris, GA, Darlene George and husband, Tim of Gastonia, NC, Jimie Lynn England and husband, Scottie of Gastonia, NC, Belinda Clinton and husband Joey of Cramerton, NC, ; nephews, Brant Meredith and wife, April of Morganton, NC, Kenneth Meredith of Spruce Pine, NC ; cousins, Christy Fields of Young Harris, GA, Jimmy "Bo" Fields of Young Harris, GA, Michael and Matthew England of Gastonia, NC, Timmy George of Gastonia, NC, Jason Forrester, William and Brandon Grier.

Home Family, Kay Barnes, Kelly Barnes, Mark Barnes and Sugar Bear her dog (her child).

A memorial service celebrating and honoring her life will be held at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Good News Tabernacle Church, 1803 Mountain View Road, Bessemer City, NC 28016. A one hour visitation will be held prior to service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of the US (HSUS), 2100 L St., NW, Washington, D.C. 20037. Any animal had a special place in her heart and she could not stand for them to be harmed or mistreated.
