Sandy Jones, 85, passed away on November 29. A longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shelby, she loved her cats and had a passion for quilting and embroidery. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Jones, and her son, Thomas Adcock.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Joan Sneed.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. The Rosary Prayer will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Saint Mary's Help of Christians Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church, with the Reverend Father Elliott C. Suttle officiating. Interment will follow the service in Sunset Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Help of Christians Catholic Church, Attn: Walking With Moms in Need, 818 McGowan Road, Shelby, North Carolina 28150.
