Sarah Conner Williams, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on August 15, 1945, in Cleveland County, North Carolina, Sarah's gentle spirit and warm heart touched everyone she met throughout her rich and fulfilling life. Sarah grew up in a bustling household as one of six siblings, where she was nurtured by her loving parents, Dores and Mary Conner. She was predeceased by her brothers, George and Jerry Conner, her sister, Brenda Lovelace, and James Williams. Sarah's legacy continues through her cherished family: her son John Williams and his wife, Renee; her grandsons, Jonathan Williams and his wife, Kayla, and Jody Williams and his wife, Caitlin; and her three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jacob, and Copelynn Williams. She is also survived by her brother, Jack Conner, and sister, Martha Costner and her husband, Kenneth, who will fondly remember her as a guiding light in their lives. Sarah's life was one of service and compassion, always putting others before herself. Her gentle demeanor and loving nature made her a friend to all. She was a source of wisdom and comfort, and her presence was a sanctuary for those in need of support. Sarah's interests were as varied as they were fulfilling, from nurturing her beautiful garden to crafting and reading. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and encouraged others to do the same. Throughout her life, Sarah was an active member of her community, contributing her time and energy to various causes and organizations. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her actions and the way she lived her life. Sarah's kindness extended beyond her immediate circle, touching the lives of many within her community. A memorial service to celebrate Sarah's life will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by the Rev. David Murray, who will honor Sarah's memory with words of comfort and reflection on a life well-lived. Sarah Conner Williams will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by the countless lives she touched with her kindness and gentle spirit.
