Mrs. Sarah Louise Poston Barrow, 81, affectionately called 'Baby Cakes' by her husband, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025. She was born on April 1, 1944 in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Paul Poston and Sarah Johnson Poston.

Sarah was a graduate of Green Bethel High School. During her former employment, she worked at Doran and Ora Mills. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and a former member at St. Matthews Church C. F. of God.

Sarah was the youngest girl and known as the family historian. She was a laugher. During her younger years, she traveled around to various churches, being part of a gospel singing group with her brothers. If you knew her, you would be listening to gospel music like she did. She was a die-hard football fan and hosted all the family gatherings. She also had a passion for vegetable and flower gardening.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Peggy Poston and Dorothy Williamson; brothers, Virgil Poston, Arthur Poston, Sr., L.C. Poston, James Poston, and Paul Poston, Jr.

"Baby Cakes" leaves precious memories to her cherished husband of 35 years, Tommy L. Barrow of the home; step-daughter, Beverly Haynes of Shelby; step-grandchildren, Chaz Haynes and Jonaca Haynes; brothers, Alphonso Poston, Sr. (Cynthia) of VA; Julia Poston of CT; special nieces, Leslie Poston and Lisa Poston; special friends, Gail Daves, Cora Peeler, and Rev. Angelina Early; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Concord Baptist Church, Gaffney, SC with burial in the church cemetery. Enloe Mortuary was in charge of the services.
