September Nights kick off in downtown KM

A gentle breeze drifted through Patriot's Park as neighbors and friends gathered around The Gazebo, eager for the first notes of the September Nights concert series. Every Thursday evening in September, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., the park transforms into a hub of laughter, music, dancing, and fellowship.
What began as a few families settling in with lawn chairs quickly blossomed into a lively crowd of more than 75 by nightfall. As the band struck up, music filled the air and the dance floor came alive, couples swayed, friends laughed, and children twirled, all sharing in the joy of community beneath the summer sky.
This Thursday, September 11, the tradition continues with Kings Mountain's own Scoot Pittman. A hometown favorite, Scoot will take us on a musical journey through the decades--from the soulful sounds of the '70s to today's hits--along with a few of his original songs that lovingly nod to the place he calls home.
So, gather your friends, bring a chair, slip on your dancing shoes, and "scoot" on over to Patriots Park. Before or after the concert, stop by our local restaurants to enjoy a meal or a beverage, and support the heart of our downtown. Together, let's keep building the spirit of Kings Mountain--one song, one step, and one shared evening at a time.
