Sherman Lee Swafford, 77 of 823 Sugar Hill Road, Lawndale passed away
September 15, 2016 at Peak Resources in Shelby.

Born December 12, 1938 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late
Sherman Delmar Swafford and Gaynell Bridges Swafford. He was retired from
Public Service Gas Company as a technician. Mr. Swafford was a member of
the Fallston Masonic Lodge # 356 and also served in the National Guard.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Hill.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Nellie Reba Swafford; two sons,
Sandy Swafford and wife, Roxanne of Lawndale and Garry Swafford of Lawndale;
brother, Vance Swafford and wife, Doris of Georgia; brother-in-law, Floyd
Hill of York, SC; two grandchildren, Tyler Swafford and Jared Swafford and
one great-granddaughter, Cora Ann Swafford.

The family will be at Mr. Swafford's house, 823 Sugar Hill Road, Lawndale or
at the home of a son, Sandy, 7676 Parker Farm Road, Lawndale.
