Sherry Ellen Smith Warlick, 75, of Fletcher passed away on April 16, 2026, at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

Sherry was born on December 11, 1950, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Ned Smith and Faye Turner Smith. She was a homemaker and attended Biltmore Church in Asheville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Jeanie Lorea, Jackie Vinay and Jamie Burns.

Sherry is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Terry Lane Warlick; son, Toby McCaskill and wife Martha of Rutledge, TN; two grandchildren, Emily McCaskill and Katie McCaskill; brother, Randy Smith and wife, Hattie of Raleigh; mother-in-law, Marilyn Warlick of Belwood; brother-in-law, Ray Warlick, Jr. and wife, Cindy of Fallston and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on at Norman's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM with Mike and Betty Jean Spangler officiating.
