Sherry Lynn Hipps Beaver, 62, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Born on March 28, 1964, in Rutherford County, Sherry was the daughter of the late Clyde Harrison Hipps and Nina Kathleen Bumgardner Hipps. She retired from FASCO Industries after many years of service.

Above all, Sherry treasured her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her son and her three beloved grandchildren. She also had a special place in her heart for her cats, who brought her much happiness and companionship.

Sherry is survived by her son, Jason Beaver and wife, Jeneane, of Cherryville; three grandchildren, Aubrey, Evan, and Charlotte Beaver; her former husband, Chuck Beaver of Kings; three brothers, Billy Terry of Ellenboro, Harold Terry Jr. of Polkville, and Larry Terry of Ellenboro; and her sister, Suzie Shytle of Lawndale.

A memorial service celebrating Sherry's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, in the chapel of Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, with the Rev. Neal Efird officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
