Shirley Grace Wright

Shirley Grace Wright, 76, of 3006 Barkley Bridge Road, but formerly of 4030 Cowpens Pacolet Road, Spartanburg, passed away Friday, August 8th, 2014, at her residence.

Born in Spartanburg County, she was the widow of Rev. Paul Wright and the daughter of the late A.B. Williams and Ruth Rogers Williams. Mrs. Wright retired from textiles.

Surviving Mrs. Wright are two sons, Will Williams of Pacolet and Ben Hamby of Pacolet; a step-son, Tim Wright, of Clifton; three daughters, Linda Fortner of Pacolet, Doll Milam of Hartselle, AL, and Mahalia Crocker of Pacolet; two brothers, Robert Williams of Reidville and Charles Williams of Moore; a sister, Joyce Oliver, of Woodruff; nineteen grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Wright and four brothers, Harrison, Asther, James, and Willie Williams.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 13th, 2014 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Christian Fellowship Church of Chesnee. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Frank Cooper, Rev. Ray Southerland, and officiating. Interment will follow at Christian Fellowship Church Cemetery (Chesnee). Bobby Johnson, Craig Kirby, Billy Brown, Eric Wright, Harold Milam, Ray Southerland, Joe Putman, and Travis Crocker will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at her former residence, 4030 Cowpens Pacolet Road, Spartanburg.
