Spencer Malone Surratt departed this earthly life on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Spencer was born on August 23, 1961, in Cleveland County to Margaret McDuffie Surratt. Spencer was the fifth eldest of seven children.
He was a 1979 graduate of Crest High School. After high school, Spencer enlisted into the Army National Guard where he served for 22 years. He worked at Freightliner in Mount Holly, NC for 40 years, where he landed the endearing nick name "Squirmy".
Spencer was a member of Palmer Grove Baptist Church, Kingstown, NC. He enjoyed hanging out with family and friends. Spencer was a hard worker spending time at his craft that he loved so much that he turned it into his business "Spencer's Mobile Detailing." He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone because he never met a stranger. In his down time he loved going to car shows, traveling, and laying back; enjoying good jazz music.
Spencer was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Dwight Lemar Surratt.
Spencer is survived by his children, Spencer Quinton Surratt, Whitney Surratt, and Brittany Surratt, all of Shelby, NC; mother, Margaret Surratt of Kingstown, NC; brother, Sherman Surratt (Kawanna) of Shelby, NC; sisters, Troy Corry (Randy) of Detroit, MI; and Angie Surratt (Dennis) of Shelby, NC; brothers, Jamie Surratt (Debra) of Charlotte, NC, and Tyree Surratt (Tonya) of Shelby, NC; two grandsons, Ky'shun Smith and Harden Surratt; aunt, Laura Jamerson (Charles); special friend, Jerry Whitworth; and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Palmer Grove Baptist Church, Kingstown, NC. Enloe Mortuary was in charge of the services.
