It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Stan Logan, who departed this life peacefully on April 22, 2025. Born in Florence, South Carolina, on November 24, 1954, Stan was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Col. James W. Logan and Dorothea Campbell Logan.

Stan lived a remarkable life filled with passion, creativity, and adventure. A graduate of Apple Valley High School in California in 1973, he pursued his studies at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, where he earned his degree in Physical Education in 1977. His love for exploration led him to travel extensively throughout Europe and Australia, enriching his life with diverse experiences.

Stan was a dedicated professional who made a meaningful impact in various roles, including his work at Shelby High School's Drama Department, Adventure House in Shelby, and Baxter Corporation. Additionally, he ran a successful window-washing business for many years. His artistic talents shone brightly in the theater community, where he was an accomplished actor and director. He directed plays for community theaters in Shelby, Kings Mountain, Cherryville, and Lincolnton, leaving a lasting legacy in local arts.

A true animal lover, Stan cherished all his pets throughout the years, finding immense joy in their companionship.

He is survived by his loving brother, James W. Logan, and his wife, Jenny; his nieces, Dell Logan Simpson, Lynn Logan Brown, and Kristy Logan McKain, along with their families; and cousins, Rev. William A. Cooper and wife Carolyn an their children, Emily Monroe, Faithe Beam, Amy Cooper; Lee Logan and his wife, Eleanor; Jan Motlow; Donna Allen; Susan Daughtry; Linda O'Shields and her husband, Joe O'Shields; Frank Logan; Rebecca Gambrell and Ruth Burdette, and their respective families.

A celebration of Stan's life will be held at Pleasant City Church on Saturday, April 26 at 2:00. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant City Church, 1146 County Home Road, Shelby, NC 28152.
