Mr. Stefen Floyd “Steve” Carpenter, 63, of 110 Foxfire Lane, Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Services were held at East Gold Street Wesleyan Church. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC. 

Mr. Carpenter served our country in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Haywood and Helen Huffstetler Carpenter; and 1 brother, John Carpenter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Frankie Biddix Carpenter; 2 sons, Chad Carpenter and wife Cindy of Bessemer City, NC, and Brad Carpenter and fiancé Kelly Millwood of Kings Mountain, NC; and 3 grandchildren.
