Steve Hillard Brittain, 80, of Hallman Mill Road, Vale, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Lincoln County, NC on December 8th, 1940 , he was the son of the late Hillard Brittain and Marine Wehunt Brittain.
He was retired as a self-employed carpenter and was a member of David's Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Buck Brittain.
Survivors include his wife 59 years, Joyce Hoyle Brittain; two daughters, Teresa Jackson and husband, Nick of Vale and Lisa Hansen and husband, Allen of Shelby; two grandchildren, Matthew Hansen and Abby Hansen-Barteck; eight sisters, Nancy Sain and Linda Sellers both of Cherryville, Ruth Sain, Mary Cook, Pat Tipton, Cathy Correll, Faye Corbett and Scarlett Beam all of Vale and a special dog, Little Bit.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at David's Chapel United Methodist Church.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 3:00 pm at David's Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Norton and Rev. Keith Fulbright officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the David's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
