Steven Travis Demetro
Steven Travis Demetro, 43, of Old Home Place, Kings Mountain, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Travis had a strong faith and loved his family and church. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, camping with buddies, but he will always be known as a jack of all trades who could fix anything.
He was born in Cleveland County, on September 13, 1973, to the late Steven Demetro and Sandy Faye Newton Smith. He was employed by CK Contractors and Development. Travis was also a member of Cleveland Lodge #202.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his grandfather, Dub Beaver.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Lindsey Frantz Demetro; son, Mason Demetro of the home; daughter, Madelyn "Maddy" Demetro of the home; grandmother, Tuila Beaver of Polkville; grandfather and wife, Bud and Chris Newton and family of Spruce Pine; brother and sister-in-law, Lamar and Kristy Smith of Indian Trail, two nephews, Aiden and Knox; niece, Zoey; uncle, Roger Newton and wife Melanie Hester; and cousin, Carissa Reynolds and family.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the funeral home.
The memorial service will be held on Thursday at 6:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston with the Rev. Brian Taule officiating.
Memorials may be made to David Baptist Church, 2300 David Baptist Church Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086. Masonic funeral rites will be provided by Cleveland Lodge #202.
