Thelma Hull Sellers



Cherryville – Thelma Hull Sellers, 93 of 111 Harrilson Road, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Carolina Care Center.

Born June 7, 1920 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Burgin Hull and Lizzie Hoffman Hull.  She was retired as the owner and operator of Elite Beauty Salon in Cherryville.  Mrs. Sellers was an active member of First Baptist Church since 1943; she was active in Foreign Missions and was a former Sunday School teacher.  Mrs. Sellers was a loyal ambassador for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and loved to tell people of His great love.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Wayne Franklin Howell and Junious Worth Sellers; grandson, Scott Sellers and brother, Ray Hull.

Survivors include two sons, Tom Howell and wife, Frances of Edmond, OK and Jim Sellers and wife, Martha of Cherryville; three grandsons, Michael Howell, David Howell and Jonathan Sellers; six great-grandchildren, Katherine Howell, Reed, Riley, Emma, Sara, and Hanna Sellers; and two step grandchildren, Dana Dean and Lisa Ellison; two step great grandchildren, Ellie and Emma Dean.

Visitation will be at on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 12:45 until 1:45 at First Baptist Church in Cherryville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00PM Friday, November 15, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Cherryville with Dr. Vince Hefner officiating.

Burial will be Private.
