Thomas Ervin Ross, 69, departed this life on May 7, 2026, at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC.

He was born on April 29, 1957, in Cleveland County, NC and was the eldest child of the late Robert and Melvina Wilson Ross.

In addition to his parents, Robert and Melvina Wilson Ross, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin Ross and Charles Ross and a niece, Faith Webber.

Left to cherish fond memories of him are his wife, Levonda Glenn Ross; son, Timothy Ervin Ross of Providence, RI; a grandson, Joseph Malone also of Providence; a sister, Audrey Webber (Rev. Dr. Charles Webber) of Shelby, NC; brothers, Ronald Ross (Brenda) of Shelby, Douglas Ross (Linda) of Charlotte, NC and Pastor Vincent Ross (Lakita) of Gastonia, NC; bonus children, Ron Odom of Shelby, Lanisha Odom and Darryl Woods, Jr. all of Shelby, Atalie Ager of Charlotte, NC, Brandy Smith (Quantrel) of Belmont, NC and Calvin Stroud of the home; aunts, Evelyn Haynes, Annie Sue Wilson and Josephine Hunt; uncles, Robert Wilson, Jersey Wilson and Joseph Ross (Jessie); two great-aunts, Ruby Mackey and Carolyn Wilson; fathers and mother-in-law, Donald and Lillian Glenn and James Weaver; sisters-in-law, Mary Ross, Tonya Glenn Hall (Jimmy), Donyelle Glenn, Shatina Watkins and Yolanda Gaston; a brother-in-law, Steve Fuller; sister/cousin, Bendatra McDowell; and a host of bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Washington Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
