Thomas Kelly Sisk


Gaffney, SC -- Thomas Kelly Sisk, of 716 Florence Street, affectionately called, Kelly, by friends and relatives, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, SC, he was the son of the late Carl Ernest Sisk and Pearl Catherine Humphries Sisk Martin. Kelly was a graduate of Gaffney High School and Limestone College. Before retirement, he worked as an educator and elementary school teacher for several army based schools in Germany, Japan, Cuba and South Korea, where he adopted his beloved son, Michael. Kelly also taught elementary school for Greenville County and Spartanburg County School Districts, was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC, a devoted father to his son, a loving brother to his siblings, and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. Kelly is fondly remembered for his generous and thoughtful gifts to family members, especially at Christmas time. Because he loved to travel and worked overseas, many of these gifts were unique, often made in interesting parts of the world.

Kelly is survived by his beloved son, Michael, his brother, Rev. Steve Sisk (Carol), of Clinton, SC, sister, Janice Sisk Thoms (Buddy), of Cowpens, SC, and brother, Dr. Ron Sisk (Lynn), of Blacksburg, SC, loving nieces: Jamie, Beth, and Katie, nephews: Scott, Brian, Jeff, Brad, Barry, and Jonathan, and several cousins and extended family members.

Family and friends will honor Kelly's life and legacy with services at Rose Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, November 1st, 2025. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm - 3:00pm, and a memorial service will begin at 3:00pm with Rev. Eddie Hardin officiating.
