Timothy Cole Parker, 16, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 19, 2012.  A native of Cleveland County he was the son of Timothy Loren Parker and Ellen Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Franklin Gene Jenkins and Joseph “Buck” Everett Parker, and his uncles, Stephen Everett Parker and Harry Emil Jenkins. Cole was a junior at Crest High School.  He attended Double Springs Baptist Church.  He loved dirt bike racing, carpentry and cooking.  Cole will be remembered as a loving son and brother.  He lived life to the fullest and always gave a helping hand to those who needed it. 

Cole is survived by his father, Timothy Loren Parker and wife Robin of Shelby; his mother, Ellen Jenkins of Shelby; a brother, Stephen Joseph Parker of Shelby; grandmothers, Gunda Jenkins, Dorothy Ford Parker and Glenda Ledford of Shelby; grandparents, Roy and Kattie Drum of Gaffney, SC;  uncles Thomas and David Jenkins of Shelby; and aunts, Gail Graham and husband Gene of Shelby and Jo Reinhardt and husband Doug of Shelby.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Double Springs Baptist Church.  The Rev. Bill Fryer, Rev. John Ware, and Rev. Kyle Chastain will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Rehobeth United Methodist Church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.  At other times the family will be at the home of Ellen Jenkins and Timothy and Robin Parker.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials are made to New Beginnings Church, P O Box 502, Fallston, NC 28042.
